A revenge fight broke out between residents of Wuanh-Alel payam and Thiet, in Tonj South County, Warrap State, leaving four dead, 15 wounded and over 40 youths arrested.

Tonj South police chief inspector Joseph Mayei told Don Bosco FM that the fight started when people responsible for some killings two years ago were released without trial.

Mr. Mayei said the Police detained 42 youths altogether.

The chief inspector said three or four people involved in the killings escaped from the county and are still at large.

He blamed Wuanh- Alel payam chief for the revenge clashes, saying he was too weak.

He was already substituted.

Mr. Mayei said police forces were deployed in the area and the situation calmed down.

He urged the youth to stop fighting since the future is for them.

Mr. Mayei noted that the court will take steps after all culprits are brought into the prison.
