Thirty women associated with armed forces (WAAF) graduated today in professional tailoring after an intensive one year training.

SCR News spoke to Cecilia Emmanuel, one of the graduates. She said the training will help her change her family’s economic status.

She said her business of charcoal collapsed and she enrolled for the sewing training.

Mary Lazaro said that the training will help support her family since she has no job in the government.

WAAF was launched last year with the aim of reintegrating women in their respective communities in Central Equatoria.

The tailoring course was funded by PACT Sudan.
