The minister of foreign affairs of Denmark said she was impressed at the decision taken by the returnees to come from Khartoum to build their nation.
Addressing the press today, Lene Espersen said she was touched to meet the returnees at the Juba river port.She added that it was incredible to see people pack and move with all their property from Khartoum to come home and help rebuild South Sudan to make a positive difference.
Ms. Espersen asserted that it takes huge strength, courage and will to leave a place where one has lived for more than twenty years in the search of a better future.
The Dannish foreign minister called upon the government of South Sudan to reach out to the returnees with pride once they have settled.
