Eastern Equatoria cabinet approved the 2011 Budget in an extraordinary seating and the document was presented to the Parliament today.
Minister for Information and Telecommunications Nasike Allan Lochul told the press yesterday that the 2011 Budget promotes decentralized service delivery and development, Emmanuel Radio reported.Ms Nasike described the proposed budget as proportional compared with the one for 2010.
Ms Nasike said while last year’s budget was geared to pay for jobs, this year’s proposal allots more money to development activities and service deliveries.
Ms Nasike added that the Parliament would pass a bill to guide the implementation of the 2011 Budget, stipulating exactly how the money is used and spelling out guidelines in cases the need to transfer funds to another use arises.
In the past some ministries were financially crippled due to unclear guidelines on the use of the state government funds.
