Unknown assailants yesterday killed a young man along the Isohe-Torit road and took his head with them.

Sister Pasquina Iromo told Emmanuel Radio she found the headless body at Loli Bridge, saying she could not tell why the killers took the head with them.

Sr. Pasquina said two years ago some communities in Isohe took the heads of people they killed during cattle raiding to place them in the dancing arena to celebrate victory.

She added that road attacks have increased in Eastern Equatoria and two people were attacked along the Tseretenya road last week. One victim died and the other is under treatment in Isohe.

Sr. Pasquina urged the people to desist from cattle raiding, robbing and killings in order to build the new country and peace to prevail in the state.

She asked people to be happy with the little they have and celebrate Christmas with it.

Sr. Pasquina said that the spate of highway robberies and killings is preventing people from travelling in some parts of Eastern Equatoria.
