Lakes State authorities made provisions to identify job vacancies at government, UN and NGO levels for returnees in order to facilitate their integration in the community.

Philip Kot Job, Director of Lakes State Relief and Rehabilitation Commission, told Good News Radio that the state authorities found job vacancies for teachers and technicians to employ returnees.

Mr. Kot said the plan came after they observed the problems some states faced to integrate the returnees into the communities in the neighbouring states due to lack of job provisions.

Mr. Kot added that the government also established a subcommittee to deal with returnees’ security issues.

Mr. Kot said that police is patrolling Shambe area to assure peace in Yirol East and West counties, an area marred by cattle raiding.

He added that the authorities dug a well at Shambe away transit station.
