Registration officials at referendum centres expressed different views on the registration turn up in the various places in Juba.
Jada Clement, supervisor of Saint Bakhita Basic School Referendum Centre, applauded the turn up for registration, terming it encouraging.Mr. Clement revealed that his centre registered in one week some 1900 out of 2000 expected voters.
He added he ordered extra registration books.
Mr. Clement said that women are not registering and some people lose patience in the queue and go home.
Charles Simon Wani, supervisor of Malakia Basic School Referendum Centre, said yesterday’s turn up was very discouraging.
Mr. Wani added that although it was Sunday only 192 people registered.
Over 1,860 voters registered so far at Malakia Basic School Referendum Centre.
