A registration official called on the government to declare some days off for public workers and students to be able to register for the referendum.
Jada Clement is the supervisor of Saint Bakhita Basic School Referendum Centre. He told Bakhita FM that a big numbers of civil servants decry lack of time off work to register for the upcoming referendum.Mr. Clement called on the government and schools administrations to allow eligible students some time off school to register.
The Catholic Radio Network (CRN) is a media project constituted by community-based radio stations broadcasting in Frequency Modulation from Juba, Yei, Torit, Yambio, Rumbek, Tonj, Wau, and Malakal. For its outreach, CRN has a potential audience of about seven million people, considering the influx of returnees to South Sudan after the Sudan Population Census 2008.
