The political parties of Southern Sudan agreed on a Road Map for the post referendum transition period in case the vote for independence wins.

GoSS vice President, Riak Machar Teny, told journalists yesterday that as soon as the results of the referendum are declared, and the vote for independence wins, a transitional government will be put in place to prepare a new census and the elections for a constituent assembly.

Dr. Machar said the set up of a Constitution Review Commission will be the first step to be taken by President Salva Kiir if the South votes for independence.

Dr. Machar was speaking after the second Southern Sudan Political Leadership Forum that took place on Tuesday.
