Yei County is preparing for the official launching of the referendum registration with a rally tomorrow at Yei’s Freedom Square.
Fr. Simon Khamis Mabe, public outreach program manager for the Yei County Referendum Sub-Committee told Easter Radio that the event will start at seven in the morning with a march from different areas of Yei town to Freedom Square.Fr. Khamis said markets, schools and offices will be closed during the morning for all citizens to take part in the launch ceremony.
He urged women to buy and cook food today to be at the rally.
Fr. Khamis warned that it will be a serious offense to violate this arrangement.
He explained that only hospitals and security offices were allowed to operate tomorrow morning.
The Referendum Sub-Committee official added it was important for all the citizens of to participate in this upcoming referendum.
