Separation is in the blood of every southern Sudanese and they will vote massively for independence.
This is the prediction of Kanuto Ekebek Aham, a senior official from SPLM Southern Sector, who was in Torit to sensitize the local party MPs to agree on a common strategy for the referendum registration mobilization, Emmanuel Radio reported.Mr. Ekebek said that people should vote 100 percent for separation after over 50 years of sufferings.
Mr. Ekebek says that the 2005 Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) offered the referendum to the southerners for them to determine their destiny.
He emphasized that the SPLM stands for separation because southerners suffered for too long.
Mr. Ekebek accused the NCP of failing to follow the agreements set in the CPA.
He added that the SPLM does not want to return to war but will abide by the conditions of the peace agreement.
