Yambio Municipal Mayor is calling on the civil population and the security forces to have good relationship between them.
The security personnel are deployed to protect civilians and their property, explains Mayor Robert Singira.
He adds that the government has established a road block at Hai Tarawa for security reasons.
Singira confirms that the government only permits the soldiers at the check point to ask for ten or twenty Pounds from civilians going to sell their goods in the market.
But some security personnel deployed on the road are not friendly to people, citizens from Bazongua complained on Friday.
They said the soldiers were asking 100 SSP from any civilian coming to sell before proceeding to the market.
The Mayor urges the soldiers deployed at Hai Tarawa to allow civilians to move freely.
