Khartoum government suspended Darfur peace talks in Doha until December to allow for further consultations.
The head of the Sudanese delegation and presidential adviser Ghazi Salah Aldin Taban said yesterday in Khartoum parties to the talks were yet to consult one another before the talks resume, Sudan Radio Service reported.Mr. Taban told journalists that consultations with Darfur movements were important for the final signing of peace.
He said that mediators to the talks unanimously agreed to start afresh consultations from November 10 to December 6.
Mr. Al Taban added that international and regional bodies concerned about Darfur would contribute their ideas.
He said conflicts in Darfur should be resolved before the referendum.
