Statisticians should expect less from politicians to fill the current data gap on welfare planning in South Sudan.
This was the message of Southern Sudan Centre for Census, Statistics and Evaluation chairmanto state researchers and statisticians at the end of a four-day training in Juba in population distribution assessment for development planning.Isaiah Chol Aruai told the statisticians and planners that was their duty to develop data for ministers and governors to provide for the needs of the people.
Mr. Aruai added that reliable and credible statistics were critical for development planning and service provision.
