Lomin Catholic parish in Kajo Keji County, diocese of Yei, celebrated its tenth anniversary yesterday.

Bishop Erkulano Lodu Tombe of Yei, who presided the mass, urged the Christians and the government to work hard towards the development of the county.

He censured the county authorities for failing to pay teachers on time which made some of them to quit the career in search for greener pastures and led to pupils’ poor performances.

Bishop Erkulano quoted St. Daniel Comboni who said he wanted to save Africa by the Africans.

He urged parents to encourage their children to go to seminary schools to serve the people of God in Africa.

Bishop Lodu gave four Vatican flags to Lomin parish and blessed the photo of late Fr. John Georgio who donated funds to build St. Daniel Comboni Comprehensive College in Lomin.
