Yangiri Parish organizes over night prayers for Bishop Gasi

Christians of St Luke the Evangelist, Yangiri Catholic Parish of Tombura-Yambio Diocese on Thursday organized overnight prayers to celebrate the life of the late Emeritus Bishop Joseph Gasi Abangite.
 
Yangiri Parish Priest Elario Boro Zambakari in a telephone interview disclosed to Anisa Radio that Christians are remembering their Bishop’s successful life to be concluded on Friday with a Eucharist celebration.
 
He said Bishop Gasi was a man of God who was always strongly preaching peace and salvation.
 
The parish priest urged everybody in Yangiri and South Sudan in general to maintain peace.
 
Fr Elario Zambakari disclosed that Tombura-Yambio Bishop Barani Edwardo Hiiboro Kussala donated solar panels to enables the parish carry its holistic development.
 
He mentioned that they received eight panels, hoping that by next week the light would be available in the parish.
 
St Luke the Evangelist Yangiri Parish is one of the six parishes selected from 19 parishes to receive solar panels in the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio.
