UNMISS conducts awareness on sexual exploitation, gender violence

United Nations Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS Conduct and Discipline team on Thursday enlightened students on sexual exploitation and gender based violence.
 
The teams’ Public Information Assistant Otto Robert told Yei Day Secondary students that the mission has the mandate to foster state building, economic development and assist the government on conflict prevention, mitigation and resolution, Easter Radio reported.
 
County Secondary School Inspector Emmanuel Sebit Peter urged students to value the campaign and educate their fellow brothers and sisters with the same knowledge.
 
Emmanuel called on students to report unintentional sexual exploitation to the police and desist from early sex.
 
The officials were addressing Yei Day Secondary School students and teachers on Thursday.
