Yei Municipality traders on Wednesday elected leaders for the Chamber of Commerce including the chairperson, deputy and secretary.
Traders elected Clinton Malish John, the chairman, Taban Jackson John his deputy Bosco Maliamungu, secretary and eight other members, Easter Radio reported.
Central Equatoria Chamber of Commerce Chairperson Charles Data Bullen said electing leaders address problems facing Yei business community including taxes.
He added that the elected leaders should not double positions in government and the private sector.
Yei River County Chamber of Commerce Chairperson Tito Ayambu Jakondo called for unity and cooperation between the municipality and county leadership to ensure effective services delivery.
Yei Town Block Director Charles Andrea urged the new leaders to work closely with traders and the municipal authority to implement government policies and local orders.
