Tonj South Fire Brigade Director in Warrap State on Wednesday urged traders and the entire community to stop selling petrol and diesel along the roads of the town.

Pec Mangong discouraged selling of petrol and diesel in the town because it easily catches fire from electricity, Don Bosco Radio reported.

He urged parents and guardians to take good care of their children, saying many kids were leaving their homes to smoke opium at river banks and other private places.

Mr Mangong also advised parents and guardians to send their children to school rather than lingering in the town.

The Director advised all generator operators to make poles along roads for connecting wires to avoid accidents in the town.

He called on cattle keepers not to graze their animals in the airport to avoid plane accidents.
