African Union or AU Commission Chairperson on Monday congratulated the Muslim community in Africa and the world on the occasion of Eid-Al-Fitr marking the end of the Holy month of Ramadan.

Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma described the Holy month as very special for prayers, fasting and quite devotion to support the less fortunate through charity and those struggling through various socio-economic and political difficulties.

She hopes this sacred time served as a reminder of joint responsibility to end the suffering of those experiencing senseless conflicts and violence in Africa and the world.

The Chairperson called for a collective responsibility to uphold peace and pursue justice for all Africans.

She sent her best wishes of good health, happiness, peace and prosperity to all Muslim families in the continent and the globe.
