A woman who attempted to hang herself ended up killing two children on Monday at Aweil Jedit Hanker area of Western Bahr El Ghazal state.
The incident included a four-year old boy and an eight-month old girl, Voice of Hope reported.
Kuol Leng, the husband of the woman revealed that his wife resisted her father’s request to go to the village and threatened to commit suicide.
He explained that when he left for work his wife locked the door, hanged herself and the two children.
He added that the neighbours only rescued the mother, but the children died.
Mr Leng said his wife had a history of mental disturbance before marriage.
Wau police authorities said the woman was under investigation.
