The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees or UNHCR donated dozens of assorted boxes of medical supplies to Yei Civil Hospital to scale down the spread of cholera in the county.
Yei UNHCR Protection Officer Susan Mirbagheri told East Radio that the supply is meant to contain cholera situation.
The Hospital’s Administrator Elizabeth Kiden Joseph expressed happiness and that the drugs would not only help cholera patients, but other cases also.
She said communities used to complain because they were referred to buy drugs from clinics, saying the complaints would be no more.
There are so far two patients receiving cholera treatment at Yei Hospital out of 18 admitted, two died and 14 patients were already discharged.
