Tombura-Yambio Catholic Diocesan priests and humanitarian staff on Monday passed 2014 budget with amendments to the tune of 23.5 million South Sudanese Pounds.
Bishop Barani Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala while signing the budget, said 65 percent of it would be used to fight poverty in the Diocese and Western Equatoria at large, Anisa Radio reported.
He said the budget would enable the Diocese to work hand in hand with partners to serve people of God in the Diocese.
Bishop Hiiboro urged the heads of departments to work hard to meet the needs of people.
The Diocesan Head Accountant Ndukayo Dominic said the budget would enable them run their spiritual and humanitarian activities from January to December.
Tombura-Yambio Catholic Diocese passed its budget for the first time after 100 years, promising to pass 2015 budget in December.
