A resident of Munuki Payam in Juba County on Monday complained that Urban Water Corporation is not supplying enough water and that it is always pumping to taps in the area in the middle of night, disrupting couples from procreation.
Nathana Peter Balli told CRN that Munuki residents fetch tap water supplied by the Corporation only two times a week.
He said wrong timing of water supply interferes with social life and reduces population in the area as partners are always stressed with the anxiety of waiting for water.
Mr Peter urged the Corporation to adjust water supply timetable.
The resident appealed to government authorities and non-governmental organisations to improve water supply in response to cholera outbreak.
He warned that poor sanitation in the area may accelerate the spread of the disease.
Mr Peter suggested that the government and development partners should drill more boreholes and renovate broken ones as quickly as possible.
South Sudan Urban Water Corporation earlier on said it was supplying tap water to various zones in Juba in shifts to meet the huge demand with limited capacity of the water plant.
