Warrap State government and Women pat ration on Tuesday trained officials and public about women and children rights in an effort to create public awareness.
One of the participants, Mama Maria Angok Mapal said women and children rights are not respected because many women are being killed in the ongoing conflict in South Sudan, Don Bosco Radio reported.
She urged citizens of all levels to respect the right of women and children in any conflict in the country.
Teacher Justin Lual Mador said training targets women because most of them were be killed and raped.
He added that training on women and children rights would cover all five payams of Tonj.
The officials urged citizens to cooperate among themselves to serve correctly.
