United Nations Secretary-General on one day visit to Juba on Tuesday demanded war lords responsible for the conflict, causing scores of damages to close up the wounds they opened.
Ban Ki Moon urged President Salva Kiir and SPLM/A in opposition leader Dr Riek Machar to support justice and accountability for crimes committed, pushing for a must end to fighting.
He appealed for thirty days of tranquillity for civil population to plant crops in peace to realize a surviving harvest.
The Secretary-General said United Nations saved tens of thousands of lives in South Sudan.
He added that that the country should not be allowed to fail so far.
Ban Ki Moon urged President Kiir and Dr Machar to end bloodshed in the country immediately.
The Secretary-General said the two leaders agreed to resolve the political differences through peaceful dialogue by meeting directly on Friday.
He wondered why people of the same country kill themselves losing thousands of people; infrastructures and properties got damaged, describing the conflict as ‘senseless war’.
