Bishop recommends election of councillors to avoid bad leaders

Yei Episcopal Bishop of South Sudan and Sudan, ECSSS on Monday recommended that councillors in the municipality should be elected to promote good leadership.
 
Bishop Hillary Luate Adeba said councillors should be elected by citizens to avoid bad deeds in preference to integrity and blamelessness, Easter Radio reported.
 
He said democratic elections would avoid illegal selling of land in the municipality by councillors.
 
The Bishop made the remarks during the opening of the second session of the Municipal Legislative Council on Monday.
