Yei Diocese Secretary General on Saturday urged chiefs and communities in Morobo County not to sell land because it could affect the future generation.
Emmanuel Lodongo Sebit explained that though chiefs have the title and responsibility to look over land, they have no right to sell the land illegally, Easter Radio reported.
Fr Lodongo said many people died over land issues including grabbing, illegal selling and alleged ownership, creating complains between communities.
He advised parents to preserve land for their children rather than selling to unknown people.
Fr Lodongo spoke on Saturday during the fundraising in Morobo County.
