Morobo County Education Director told visiting legislators and executives that the community demands for more teachers to provide quality education in the area.
Akim Alfred said the challenge of teachers in the county was a general issue despite all efforts made to arrest the situation, Morobo Radio reported.
He added, ‘If you the community send your children to school then we will overcome the challenge of having limited teachers in the county, state and in the Republic of South Sudan’.
Commissioner Moses Simon Soro told citizens to maintain law and order to contribute to the county’s development and security.
A voluntary teacher in Kaya Anena Sauda Sasa called the government to support the county by increasing the number of teachers.
Goals status report 2012 conducted by National Bureau of Statistics indicated that 42 percent of primary schools in the country operate under trees.
