Doctor urges legislators to regulate smoking

A chest Physician at Juba Teaching Hospital on Thursday urged lawmakers to set rules against unnecessary smoking in the new nation.
 
Kajomsuk Abdalla Moi urged legislators to implement rules of unnecessary smoking.
 
He advocated that some rules are not formulated to avoid smoking in public places. 
 
Dr Abdalla said addicted smokers contract diseases that affect their respiratory system including like chronic bronchitis which can lead to heart failure.
 
He said the most serious disease cause by smoking was cancer.
 
Dr Abdalla also said smoking could affect the blood supply of the heart.
 
The Physician advised the public to stop smoking and to advise young children to stop the practice.
