Yei River County Agriculture Assistant Commissioner said agricultural activities were on progress despite challenges of the political unrest.
Edmond Taban Gogo on Wednesday explained that harvesting, vegetable production and land preparation for the next rainy season was advancing well, Easter Radio reported.
Mr Gogo called on the national government to work for peace and stability to in order for farmers to meet food security by 2015.
The County Agriculture Assistant Commissioner was speaking in Yei ahead of the agricultural season.
