Pope called for peace in South Sudan to end atrocities and humanitarian difficulties people undergo.
 
South Sudan Apostolic Nuncio Charles Daniel Balvo said Pope Francis asked South Sudan political leaders to resolve their differences through dialogue for the good of the people.
 
He said the Pope prays for peace in South Sudan.
 
The Nuncio expressed commitment to work with South Sudan Bishops for the good of the church of God.
 
He expressed his gratitude to the Christians of Juba for warmly welcoming him to the country.
 
One of the Christians at St Joseph Peter Wani Alfred described the visit of the Apostolic Nuncio as a blessing to the new country.
 
He added that the Nuncio came at the right time as South Sudan experiences political unrest.
 
One of St Joseph’s choirs Gismala Patrick Samuel said they need big religious leaders to visit the nation to give people hope.
 
The Christians made these remarks during the reception of South Sudan Apostolic Nuncio Charles Daniel Balvo at St Joseph Parish on Monday.
