Lakes State disable people called on the government to recognize their rights in the permanent Constitution to participate in decision making.
They made the call on Friday during World Disable Day celebrations in Rumbek town, Good News Radio reported.
Former Lakes State Legislative Assembly speaker John Marik Makur urged the government to put views of the disable people into the Constitution.
He said rights of disable people in South Sudan were needed to be included in the permanent Constitution according to the UN Convention of 1992 to 1994.
MP Marik highlighted that disable people needed help in transport, capacity building and many more.
He said the Transitional Constitution neglected the rights of the disable people in South Sudan.
MP Marrik called for a just Constitution that does not discriminate against disable people.
Many disable people on Friday turned up to commemorate the World Disable Day.
