Women with disabilities are more marginalized and research institutions and universities should include disabled people in their programmes.
Older Persons with Disabilities Representative Henry Swaka told the participants in the celebration of the International Day for Persons with Disabilities at Nyakuron Cultural Centre in Juba that time has come for the abandoned disabled child to be sent to school.
Mr Swaka added that women with disabilities are not benefiting from the 25 percent of affirmative action guaranteed to all women by the Constitution.
He said people with disability should be involved in decision making and receive necessary support.
A good number of persons with disabilities attended the celebration of their international day in Juba.
