Residents of Lainya County of Central Equatorial State on Friday held a peaceful demonstration protesting the presidential replacement of late Samson Kwaje by Festo Lemi at the national assembly.

Lainya County Press Secretary Bullen Lugala told Easter Radio that Mr Lemi belongs to Wonduruba Payam of Juba County and it is under the Office of the Governor.

Mr Lugala explained that the demonstration started in Lainya town and ended at the County SPLM Secretariat Office where they presented a petition to the SPLM Chairman and a copy to the County Commissioner.

SPLM Secretariat member Juma Scopas said the crowd demanded the removal of MP Lemi and the new appointed of a new MP.
