Yei River County Commissioner condemned killing of innocent lives in the area.
Speaking to the media after a three-hour closed door security meeting in Lainya County, Juma David Augustine said the authorities do not entertain the killing of innocent people, Easter Radio reported.
He said the two Commissioners established mechanisms to protect civilians of Yei and Lainya counties.
Commissioner Juma urged citizens in various communities to report cases of security threats to the nearest police station and relevant authorities for immediate action.
As Christmas season approaches, criminals in the country started strategic attacks which called for citizens-government joint efforts to beef up security.
