Western Equatoria Legislative Assembly on Thursday re-opened for the second session in Yambio.
Deputy Speaker Hanah Lona Bona welcomed the MPs from the three-month recess, Anisa Radio reported.
She said the MPs were given enough time to interact with their constituencies and collect information to be shared in the assembly.
Deputy speaker Bona cited the usual challenges facing the house, including austerity measures, lack of transport and pending resolutions.
She stated that the assembly hoped for good relationship between the executive and the legislature branches of power.
State Governor Bangasi Joseph Bakosoro said security, agriculture and education remained the bases of Western Equatoria State.
He advised MPs to unite and work hard to improve the life of their people amidst financial challenges.
32 MPs out of 47 reported to the opening session.
