Relief and Rehabilitation Commission County Secretary said floods affected 42,480 households in Tonj South County of Warrap State.
Gordon Makuer said the affected households needed urgent help of food and shelters, Don Bosco Radio reported.
Tonj South Commissioner William Wol appealed to the state government, international and national NGOs to urgently rescue the worsening situation of flood affected people.
Mr Wol said cars and other means of transport cannot go to Thiet Payam because water blocked the road.
Agriculture minister Majok Kur said while assessing flood effects in the six counties of Warrap State, they found that floods damaged all crops.
The Minister said all people moved to roads and high grounds.
Minister Kur pledged to support the flood affected victims.
He advised parents and guardians to take care of their children from water.
