Eastern Equatoria Governor gave state top officials an ultimatum to prove their worth in delivering services to citizens.

Louis Lobong Lojore on Tuesday at the swearing-in ceremony gave Torit town Mayor and clerks one month and political post holders three months to defend their positions or face transfer, Emmanuel Radio reported.

The Governor said citizens expect services from the new office bearers.

He also advised the town clerks not to involve themselves in politics.

Eastern Equatoria state HighCourt President Abraham Majur presided over the swearing in of Gender and Social Development Minister Felix Otuduha Siro, Torit Mayor Stephen Osfaldo Loboli and his deputy Marko Lokitoe Lokuta.
