Institute for Protection of Civil Society or IPCS donated non-food items to Police Protection Unit in Yambio, Western Equatoria State.
The Institute manager Sebit Emmanuel Charles said they offered two mattresses, mosquito nets, blankets, office tray and many other household utensils, Anisa Radio reported.
He said in their previous assessment they identified Yambio Police Protection Unit as lacking essential equipments for both women and children.
Yambio Police Protection Unit Officer Marcelina Moses Simangi thanked IPCS for donating the items.
She added that women and children need more support because they are vulnerable in the society.
State Gender, Child and Social Development ministry official John Zeburuna Gasi said they were working with partners to protect women and children from disasters.
