The National Legislative Assembly on Monday passed recommendations to curb hunger situation in Pochalla County of Jonglei state.
MP representing Pochalla County David Okwier Akway called on the national Government and international non-governmental organizations to airlift food and non food items to Pochalla County due to lack of roads.
He urged the government to urgently protect people from the rebels and prioritize security roads of Pochalla County by including it in the 2013-2014 budget.
Pochalla is one of the eleven counties of Jonglei state with a population of approximately 68 thousand according to 2008 census.
