Tonj South County in Warrap State collected 55 street children under the care of the Commissioner.
Tonj South Social Welfare Director Gabriel Dut Bak told Don Bosco Radio that the children were accommodated at the Tonj County headquarters’ new building.
He said the Acting Commissioner collected the children from different parts of the County and is clothing and feeding them.
Mr Bak said they are tracing out parents of the children but lack transport to reach their residents in rural areas.
He explained that 28 of the 55 street children are from Tonj East County requiring hard work to reach their families.
Mr Bak urged parents and guardians to take care of their children and avoid them from going to streets.
He appealed to the state Government, Missionaries and NGOs to help Tonj South Commissioner care for the children.
