Police extraordinary conference kicks off in Wau

National extraordinary police leadership council conference started on Monday in Wau, Western Bahr El Ghazal state under the theme, ‘shaping ourselves to the mission’.
 
The three-day conference seeks for solutions how to implement previous police resolutions and strengthen national team work, Voice of Hope reported.
 
The Inspector General of Police Pieng Deng Kuol said the conference was for the police leadership to welcome its new leaders. 
 
He said the conferences also aims at looking at the real situation on the ground and screen National Police Service, review baseline survey on rule of law and community policing in the country.
 
The Inspector General said they need to discuss crime statistics in the country and come out with clear resolutions.
 
Lieutenant General Deng said the National Police Service was committed to achieve the mission, vision, values and objectives of the country.
 
Interior and Wildlife Conservation minister Aleu Ayeny Aleu said there was rampant insecurity in the country and none of the generals rescued.
 
He called for transformation of the National Police Services for better performance in the country.
 
Mr Aleu said it was National Police Service priority to boost security and rule of law in the country.
 
The conference brought together Interior and Wildlife Conservation minister, Police Inspector General, UN police leadership, National Senior Police officers and other state dignitaries.
