Commissioner chasses Ambororo nomads from Tombura County

The Commissioner of Tombura County on Tuesday led the security organs, police and wildlife forces to chase Ambororo nomads out of the county.
 
Babiro Charles Gbamisi told Anisa Radio on the phone that some Ambororo nomads crossed the border from Central African Republic and opened a secret market to buy items in a remote area within the territory of Tombura County.
 
The commissioner confirmed that the Ambororo retuned peacefully to Central Africa.
 
Mr Babiro said in 2011 both the state and county authorities issued security orders prohibiting any Ambororo trading or presence in the area to prevent interference with the Lord’s Resistance Army in Western Equatoria.
 
In other development, the commissioner recognized great achievements in the county after two years of independence.
 
Mr Babiro mentioned the installation of clean water, electricity nine hours daily within Tombura town, the big government fish pond is under rehabilitation and the County Legislative Council was formed and it is waiting to be trained.
