Wau City Council on Wednesday endorsed the Policy Framework and the Code of Conduct of the working staff.
Wau Municipal Council Speaker Philip Deng Ulak said the council presented the documents to the mayor for final approval, Voice of Hope reported.
He said the Policy Framework contains five key priority areas: media, development, land, services and keeping the city clean.
Mr Deng disclosed to the council the importance of the document as it will help guiding the members to work efficiently.
He expressed the readiness of the municipality to keep the city clean despite of challenges.
He revealed that the cleaning of the town is continuing as people wait for July 9.
Mr Deng urged all people within the municipality to keep their places clean to avoid being sick.
He called upon everyone to join hands with the City Council to ensure a healthy environment.
Mr Deng encouraged more sanitation and hygiene to be carried out everywhere in town.
