Morobo County of Central Equatoria State faces shortage of medical doctors and nurses.
Commissioner, Moses Simon Soro said up to now the County still has no single medical doctor and that nurses are inadequate.He complained that the situation is forcing many people to seek medical care outside the County.
Mr Soro appealed to the national and state Governments to help Morobo County finish the construction of its Hospital.
He said County already drilled 15 boreholes and five spring wells with fund from by UNICEF.
The Commissioner said there are two more boreholes to be drilled at Lujulo and Yondu.
He said they are due to start building a maternity, children’s wards and a drug store in the County hospital.
Commissioner Soro praised the support of UNICEF to the County especially to the Health department.
