The ruling party in the Sudan accepted to host a football tournament in restive South Kordofan and North Darfur states to deceive Africans and the world that it is in control.
This is the view SPLM-North spokesperson Arnu Ngtullu Loddi shared with CRN via e-mail.Council for East and Central Africa Football Associations or CECAFA organized the Kagame Cup in Kadugli and El Fasher, from June 18 to July 2.
CRN asked Mr Ngtullu via e-mail if the rebels would boycott the games in Kadugli.
He answered that the SPLM-N is not part of the tournament to boycott or support it.
He asked “why in the first place the tournament is organize in a war zones that are our targets.”
Mr Ngtullu said “NCP will be held responsible.”
He added that in South Kordofan there are hundreds of thousands of IDPs without any humanitarian assistants because the NCP denied access while” the NCP is planning to enjoy sport and deceive Africans and the world that they are in control.”
