Bishop Mathew Remijo Adam of the Catholic Diocese of Wau briefing the Media on Humanitarian situation in Juba // Credit Catholic Radio Network.

The Catholic Bishop of Wau Diocese asks families and communities not to use young children as a source of income.

Matthew Remijio Adam says that some families in the communities rely on young children to work and bring them income and that is a child labor concern.

He says that this is a major failure and destruction of the children because these children are supposed to be granted their rights, especially the right to education.

Remijo Adam adds that for the future of the children to be good or bright they should be prepared.

He appeals to the youth not to rush but to continue with their education to avoid life challenges in the future.

Bishop calls on parents, guardians, and youth to play a major role in responsibly raising their children.

He points out those worldly circumstances do not prevent families from raising children; as such children should be made ready to embrace a bright future.
