The National Minister of General Education and Instruction of South Sudan, Awut Deng Achuil has encouraged communities in Tonj South County to empower young girls and boys by sending them to school.
Minister Awut Deng was addressesing the public during her visit to Tonj on Thursday.
She advises parents and guardians to always send their children to school and give them equal opportunities to learn.
Awut explained that it’s a good practice when parents commit to sending both sons and daughters to school.
“Our country will be in good attitude when our daughters and sons are all sent to the schools,” she explained
The minister encourages students to embrace peace and study hard since they are the leaders of the next generation.
Deng reminded students to respect themselves, respect their teachers, and a love for their Country.
