Save the Children trains civil society groups on child rights in Rumbek

Save the Children trained about fourteen members of civil society groups on child rights and good governance on Friday in Rumbek.
 
Save the Children Child Rights Governance Project Coordinator Gabriel Gatluak Chol said the course was to equip civil society members with knowledge to advocate for rights of kids in the state, Good News Radio reported.
 
Children are facing a lot of sexual harassments, early and forced marriages due to covid-19 lockdown, Coordinator Gatluak testified.
 
Director-General of Gender, Julia Alla-Jabu called on the traditional chiefs to take lead in protecting children rights at the grass root.
 
The officials spoke to Good News Radio on Friday in Rumbek.
